Why Northampton
Northampton is the county town and the biggest place we work in, eleven miles down the A45 from the office. It is where the county’s larger businesses, professional firms, charities and public bodies are based, and it has more of the kind of independent shops, trades and family firms we build for than anywhere else within reach.
It is also where two of our longest-standing client relationships live, which means we are in and out of Northampton often enough to know it. Wellingborough, Northampton and Kettering between them cover most of the work we do.
How we work with businesses here
For a Northampton business the first conversation is usually in person. We will come to you, because seeing how a business actually runs is worth more than any brief, and it is a short drive. After that almost everything moves online: the design shared as a link, changes sent by email and turned around the same day, and the month-to-month looking-after run from Wellingborough without anyone needing to travel.
If you would rather keep the whole thing online from the start, that works too. Plenty of our clients have never met us in person.
Who we look after in the town
Park Lane Windows, a family windows, doors and conservatories firm whose site we look after month to month, along with their sister brand. Northampton Hope Centre, the homelessness charity whose website we restructured so that someone in crisis can find help in one click, with donations and their CRM wired in behind it. A trade business and a charity, and the same relationship underneath: their team sends us a task, and we get on with it.

78 Derngate is the one to see if you have an hour, and the Royal & Derngate next to it is a good evening out. Delapre Abbey and Abington Park are the two green escapes, one each side of town. The shoe collection at the museum is better than it sounds, and on the way back to Wellingborough, Sywell has the aerodrome, the country park and the reservoir all within a mile of each other.
