A charity site restructured so people in crisis find help in one click, with donations and the CRM wired in behind it.
The story
Where they started
The old site had grown the way charity sites do, a page at a time, until the people it existed for could not find the help they needed. Someone facing homelessness on a phone at night does not browse. They need one obvious route. The team also wanted to tell stories in audio and video, and to stop losing donor information between the website and their CRM.
What we built
A rebuilt site with a “get help” route that is always one tap away, and the rest of the site organised around how the charity works rather than how it is staffed. Bespoke templates for audio and video stories that the team can add themselves. Behind the forms and the donation pages, a connection into their CRM so every donor and every enquiry lands where the team can act on it. Kyra’s word for the result was “profitable”, within weeks of launch.
What’s next
Charities change what they offer as need changes. The site is built so the team can keep up without us, and we are there for the parts that need a developer.
