Why Wellingborough
Because it is where we are. The Marbl Codes office is at 24-25 High Street, in a market town of some fifty thousand people on the River Nene, with the A45 and the Midland Main Line running through it. Richard lives here, and the first clients were here too. When we say local, this is the town we mean.
It is a working town rather than a pretty one, which suits us. Wellingborough has a long High Street of independent shops, a busy industrial estate on the Finedon Road, a growing housing estate at Stanton Cross by the station, and a lot of small businesses that have never had a website built properly for them. That is the gap we work in.
How we work with businesses here
Most of our Wellingborough clients started with a conversation in person. If you are in the town, we will come to you, or you can come to us on the High Street, by appointment. After that first meeting almost everything runs online: the design shared as a link, changes sent by email and turned around the same day, and the monthly looking-after done from the office without anyone needing to be in the same room.
If you would rather do the whole thing online from the start, that works too. Plenty of our clients have never been to the office.
Who we look after in the town
Wellingborough School, whose four-hundred-page site we built from a blank page and look after month to month. MEM Recruitment, whose website, job board and candidate registration we have run since 2021. Dan Fitzsimons, a personal trainer whose new site brought five enquiries in its first month. Three very different businesses, the same relationship underneath.
We also support the Wellingborough and North Northants Chamber of Commerce, which is where a fair number of local introductions come from.

Before or after a meeting, the Castle Theatre is a good evening out, Croyland Park is the quiet green in the middle of town, and Irchester Country Park, Summer Leys and Stanwick Lakes are all within ten minutes for a walk that is not on tarmac.
